Sajeesh Nair - Bangalore Chapter - The Long-Overdue RideFolks!
2017 - the year the Chapter Runner concept was formalized. Since then, till now, almost 9–10 years from its inception, I've been contemplating doing it at least once. All these years, the delay stemmed from a plethora of commitments, shortage of leaves, etc., plus an adamant mindset that always told me to "do it in one go." However, I realized (yeah... after all these years) that the One-Go notion wouldn't let me take the leap; hence I finally decided to do it anyway, even if it is in tranches.
So here I come. Sharing my almost 100% signed and sealed itinerary.
️ Leg 1 - 1521 Kms
Date Day From To Kms 02-Oct-26 Friday Bangalore Chennai 330 03-Oct-26 Saturday Chennai Hyderabad 631 04-Oct-26 Sunday Hyderabad Bangalore 560

️ Leg 3 - 3245 Kms
Date Day From To Kms 12-Dec-26 Saturday Delhi Lucknow 495 13-Dec-26 Sunday Lucknow Patna 522 14-Dec-26 Monday Patna Siliguri 467 15-Dec-26 Tuesday Siliguri Guwahati 469 16-Dec-26 Wednesday Guwahati Siliguri 469 17-Dec-26 Thursday Siliguri Kolkata 558 18-Dec-26 Friday Kolkata Durgapur >> Bulletiapa 265 Total Kilometers - 8132
Total Riding Days - 16 to 17
CR Duration - 77 days
This itinerary is mostly fixed with a little bit of flexibility here and there, esp. Dehradun, since I have a few extra days in Delhi around end of Leg 2

⚠️ Mandatory Indemnity Form - Read This Before Your Next Ride -
⚠️ Mandatory Indemnity Form - Read This Before Your Next RideRiders, listen up.
Nineteen years of IBR has run on trust - a nod, a WhatsApp group, the unspoken code that we look out for each other on the road. That's not changing. But trust was never meant to be a legal shield, and it's time we stopped treating it like one.
Why This, Why Now
A rider was recently invited on a ride by a newly formed club. She met with an accident and lost her life. That club got hammered online afterward - not just for the tragedy, but because there was no record anyone had agreed to anything. No documented understanding of responsibility. No proof riders knew the risks and chose to ride anyway. Just grief, blame, and a club with nothing to stand on.
We asked ourselves: if that happened to us tomorrow, could IBR survive it? Right now, no - not because anyone here is careless, but because intent doesn't hold up in a legal notice. Documentation does.
What This Form Actually Does
This isn't "IBR isn't responsible if you get hurt." Read it and you'll see it's fairer than that:
- Confirms you're riding voluntarily, aware motorcycling carries real risk - true with or without a form.
- Protects our core team, chapter mods, ride captains, and organizers from legal trouble over things genuinely outside their control.
- Makes pillion safety explicit - carrying someone means vouching they know what they're signing up for.
It's what should've existed since day one. We're nineteen years late, fixing it now.
What Happens If You Don't Sign
Non-negotiable: you won't be permitted to ride any IBR event until it's done. Chapter mods and ride captains will check your status before you roll out. No exceptions - applies to every rider and pillion.
This isn't about gate-keeping. It's about IBR still standing in another nineteen years.
How to Complete It
Registered members (and already-registered pillions):
Log into Den → Members Den >> Indemnity → "My Indemnity" tab → Read, Understand and Acknowledge.
Guest pillions (not registered with IBR):
Same section → "Pillion Indemnity Form" tab → share the public link.
They fill mandatory details + attach ID proof (.jpg, under 500KB).Do this before your next ride, not at the meeting point.
One Note
This covers official IBR rides only - posted on Hub under your chapter's Event section. It doesn't extend to unofficial rides. But most of us ride in IBR colors regardless - so complete it anyway. Five minutes, covers you either way.
Ride safe. Ride smart. Ride covered.

Dhananjay Venkatesh (DJ) - Bangalore Chapter - Chapter Runner - I don't know what I'm doing so I thought I'd see everyone.Moved topic to Chapter Runner.
Fantastic plan @dhananjay ... Nonetheless to say, though you have full 2 years from 18th October onwards to complete the chapter run, i'm sure you will achieve it in few months.
Have you registered for NERM? I don't see your name in a dedicated NERM group for IBR participants. let me know so that I can add you.
