Ride to Chanshal Pass and Tops of Chakrata : Pass-N-TheHills

Delhi NCR

  • Leave behind the chaos of the city and ride into a world where the air gets thinner, the views get wider, and the roads demand your focus — and reward it with every turn.

🏔️ Chanshal Pass (12,300 ft) – The Untamed Gateway of Himachal

Perched high in the Pabbar Valley of Himachal Pradesh, Chanshal Pass isn’t just a road — it’s an experience. With loose gravel, no guardrails, and panoramas that steal your breath (if the altitude hasn’t already), the ride to Chanshal River Camp and onward to the Pass is the perfect test of your bike and your grit.

We will be staying in tents by the gurgling streams and sipping our sips while the clouds roll through the ridges, Chanshal sets the tone for what follows — a journey carved for those who crave the raw.

🌲 Chakrata – The Quiet Rebel of Uttarakhand

After taming the Chanshal, head south to Chakrata — a lesser-known gem in the Garhwal hills. Tucked between thick deodar forests and ancient limestone caves, it offers riders a very different high.
    • Moila Top: A ridge trek with 360° Himalayan views and a cave temple whispering stories of sages.
    • Chilmiri Neck: Sunset point. Ridge riding. Winds in your face.

    🛣️ The Ride

Delhi → Rohru → Chanshal Pass → Chakrata → Delhi
Approx 1,000 km loop of changing altitudes, shifting terrains, and unforgettable moments. Best done in 5 days if you’re balanced between riding and living. A day by day itinerary will be shared soon.

    ⚙️ Pass-N-TheHills isn’t just a ride (27th Aug to 31st Aug 2025).

It’s for those who find poetry in petrol, peace in pine forests, and purpose in passes.
It’s the silence between gears. The echo of your engine off Himalayan walls.
It’s a reminder: the higher you go, the smaller your worries look.

https://www.facebook.com/share/p/15K6m7j9vY/ As part of our MAD CSR (Make A Difference Community Service Ride) initiative, the #IBRMC_Delhi Chapter visited Matrichaya Orphanage at Paschim Vihar, New Delhi, extending support through essential donations for the children. Beyond material aid, our team engaged with the orphanage management to gain deeper insights into the journey of these children—how they arrive, the challenges of their upbringing, and the heartwarming process of adoption into loving families. A heartfelt thank you to Mr. Yogesh and Ms. Sarita Sharma for their warm hospitality and for sharing invaluable knowledge about the crucial role of adoption in giving these children a brighter future. This visit reinforced our commitment to supporting underprivileged children and advocating for their well-being. Every child deserves a family, love, and care. Let's come together to spread awareness and make a difference! #IBRMC #CSRInitiative #MatrichayaOrphanage #SupportOrphans #AdoptionMatters #EveryChildDeservesAHome #IBRMCDelhi #socialresponsibility #RideWithCare #kids #madcsr
