Topchanchi Wildlife Sanctuary is a beautiful protected area in the Dhanbad district of Jharkhand, India. This wildlife sanctuary covers an area of about 8.75 square kilometres and is home to a diverse range of flora and fauna. The refuge was established in 1978 and is 640 meters above sea level.

As a popular recreational area and tourist destination, Topchanchi Lake is a must-see for anybody visiting Dhanbad. The tranquillity and allure of Topchanchi Lake make it a popular destination. In 1915, the slopes of the Parasnath Hills were excavated to create this artificial lake. Prior to the construction of dams, this lake provided the majority of Jharia with its water.

What to expect?
The lush trees and Parasnath Hills that surround Topchanchi Lake only add to its natural splendour. In this beautiful setting, you and your loved ones may unwind and have a lovely picnic.
