    IBR_KritikI IBR_Kritik

    Khama Ghani IBRMC Family!
    Ram Ram sa!

From the land of forts, pink walls and endless highways —
Two riders @ibr_kritik and @Ankush1044 from IBRMC Jaipur Chapter are gearing up to take on the legendary Chapter Run Attempt.

Mounted on our trusted steed — the mighty Enfields — we’re setting our sights on every chapter where IBRMC brotherhood rides strong.

    Truth be told —
I was never too fond of books and their chapters…
but the idea of riding through IBRMC Chapters?
Now these are the kind of chapters I want to read. Written in miles, fuel stops, chai coffee breaks and brotherhood.

    The mission is simple:
Starting from 22nd of January 2026, Ride through every chapter, Meet every family, Share chai, swap ride stories and collect memories instead of just kilometers.

    Plan for the mission.

    Leg 1: Jaipur - Bhilwara - Udaipur - Ahmedabad - Indore
    Day 1: 22.01.2026 : Jaipur - Bhilwara - Udaipur - Ahmedabad
    Day 2 : 23.01.2026 : Ahmedabad - Indore
    Day 3 : 24.01.2026 : Indore - Sawai Madhopur (QCM)
Day 4 : 25.01.2026 : Chill with brothers from 4 Chapters at QCM
    Day 5 : 26.01.2026 : Sawai Madhopur - Jaipur

Leg 2 : Dates not decided : Any weekend or extended one will do Delhi and Dehradun.

Leg 3 : At the time of Bulletiapa 2026 : Will cover Patna, Durgapur, Kolkata and Guwahati along with MA to North east if everything goes well.

Leg 4 : Dates not decided : Ride to south covering Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad, Banglore and Chennai.

We ride not just with engines, but with hearts full of जुनून. Two Jaipur riders chasing miles with an IBRMC soul.

We hereby solicit blessings and request the Admin to kindly approve our Chapter Run Attempt.

    See you on the roads.
Ride safe. Ride strong. Ride together.

Jaipur se jaha tak IBR - waha tak mhare yaar!
    Hail IBR!

  • Seeking review on Sena B20 vs BlueArmour C30.
    IBR_KritikI IBR_Kritik

    Hello Everyone!
    Khama Ghani
Recently in our chapter attempt leg 1 which is approx of 1650 Kms, me and @ankush1044 have used Bluarmor C30 and here's user experience :

    1. Connectivity : Not faced any issue while in range over ridegrid intercom to intercom. Though claimed range of 1.2 Kms (LOS) is still questionable. It worked flawlessly in the range of 800-900 Mtrs I suggest. Not faced a single issue of disconnection in bluetooth connectivity during the whole trip (used for 4 days).

    2. Audio quality: Not used many but I think bluarmor is providing exceptional audio quality at this price point. Voice is clear and loud even at the high speed. (it may differ with Helmet, I'm using it with LS2 Storm). Music playback is also above satisfactory, considering it as a budget device. Highs and Mids are clear while Bass fades with higher speed.

    3. Ergonomics: Buttons placement in circular way is good thought as it will help rider with identification during gloves on, but functional arrangement of Volume up & down through left and right button, and call merging function with double press of up button is something let down. Also buttons are hard to press and placement is too cramped, identifying and pressing specially double press during rides with gloves on is a challenge.

    4. Battery life: Full day of ride intercom + bluetooth connected with phone, answering calls and music playback has only consumed 40% of battery. Always left with battery around 60 to 65% at the end of the day. Thus you can use it for two full day in single charge and throw everything on it.

    5. Inter connectivity with other Bluarmor devices: As I already posted in chapter run thread, We rode with @kcna and @the.h.maverick from Indore to Sawai Madhopur. While Anand Sir has C50 and Sapan C30, All three are connected over private ridegrid connection. There were one or two occasional drop in ridegrid connectivity when answering call, which restored automatically.

Overall, I'm fully satisfied with the device. Full marks in Audio quality, distinction in Connectivity and features while grace marks in usability due to button placement and feel.

Ride to QCM 2026 – Ranthambore

Along with @vinodlikhu, @KCNA and @The.H.Maverick, we started our ride to Quad Chapter Meet 2026 (Delhi, Jaipur, Indore & Bhilwara) at Ranthambore, Sawai Madhopur.

All the BluArmors (C30, C20 and C50) connected seamlessly, and there was no stopping the bakar till we reached. Anand Sir had reserved 2000 words for the entire trip, duly informed by Sapan 😉
(Will share a separate user experience post on bluarmor C30, in the General Discussions section.)

The ride had everything — orange orchards, express highways, rural roads, city traffic, broken stretches, under-construction roads, and even a bit of off-road.

We reached Ranthambore by 07:00 PM, and the celebrations with brothers from all four chapters began.

No ride. No plan. Just relax and chill.
Breakfast, cricket, a short ride to the local market, and an evening party that went on till midnight. (more on QCM 26 in Event section)

  • Review and effect of 40% GST on bikes above 350 CC.
    IBR_KritikI IBR_Kritik

I don’t agree with the decision to raise GST to 40% on motorcycles above 350cc. The idea that such bikes are “luxury products” feels completely misplaced. Motorcycles, no matter the engine size, are still two-wheelers and a means of transport. Riding is not a luxury—it’s choosing thrill over convenience, mobility with hardwork not comfort and in many cases, even livelihood.

For adventure and touring riders, bigger capacity motorcycles aren’t about showing off but about safety, endurance, and practicality. Do anyone can think one can flaunt or show off Himalayan 411 or any purpose built motorcycle. A 500cc or 650cc machine gives the stability, braking, and comfort needed for long distances, especially on highways and hilly terrain. Calling that “luxury” is unfair.

This hike will also hurt our own domestic brands like Royal Enfield, Jawa, and Bajaj-Triumph, which have worked hard to build a market in this segment. Price of offerings from these makers such as Himi 450, Yezdi adv, scram 400X will increase wef 22nd September. Reducing affordability will directly impact manufacturing, dealerships, and jobs. And let’s not forget the ripple effect—motorcycle tourism boosts local economies everywhere riders travel, from dhabas to homestays.

Taxing these motorcycles like luxury cars or yachts doesn’t make sense. For many Indians, saving up for a mid-capacity bike is a passion and a dream, not some extravagance. Instead of discouraging it, the government should be encouraging safe and responsible riding, promoting adventure tourism, and supporting “Make in India.”

Update: Chapter Run – Leg 1 Completed ✅
Here are the updates from Leg 1 of our Chapter Run, which went exactly as planned.

    Day 1 – Thursday, 22nd January 2026
Breakfast: Bhilwara, Lunch: Udaipur, Dinner: Ahmedabad

We rolled out from Jaipur at 07:00 AM, flagged off by our Jaipur brothers —
    @akki @vijay-dhirawat @nachiketa , @saket and @chintan .
After a short break en route and a quick meet-up with @ridersharmag (who was riding towards Jaipur), we reached Bhilwara at around 10:30 AM. CM @arihantjain7557 coordinated and guided us to the meeting point, where we met the Bhilwara Chapter brothers and enjoyed a hearty breakfast together.
Post breakfast, we continued towards Udaipur, reaching there at around 02:00 PM. Had lunch and caught up with @atul-maheshwari and @devudaipur before heading out towards Ahmedabad.
We took a brief halt near the Rajasthan–Gujarat border, booked a hotel for the night, and then started again. Just about 20 minutes later, we received a call from brother @theeriderkk (Ahmedabad Chapter), who insisted that we stay at his place instead.
Though the hotel booking was already done and non-refundable, we chose brotherhood over bookings and rode straight to his place, reaching at around 08:30 PM.
A special mention for the exceptional hospitality shown by K K Bhai @theeriderkk — truly heartwarming. Within minutes, it felt like we’d known each other for years. What followed was an unforgettable night filled with ride stories, laughter, gossips, and brotherhood, stretching till 3:00 AM.
    Memories made for a lifetime.
@theeriderkk is truly a gem of a person.

    Day 2 – Friday, 23rd January 2026

    Fafda Jalebi Day 😄

After bidding adios to our brother, we headed to @aakash-yadav 's place (as he had met with an accident recently and was advised not to ride). IBRMC’s first female MOD @jaya also joined us there.

After a while, we left Ahmedabad to conquer the next chapter — Indore.

Since we hadn’t had breakfast, I told Ankush that we would have Fafda Jalebi, the staple Gujarati breakfast. But as hunger didn’t strike early, we decided to skip breakfast and go straight for brunch, avoiding a separate Lunch break to reduce our ETA to Indore.

“Gujarat aaye hain toh Fafda Jalebi toh khaenge hi” — our intercom echoed this multiple times during the ride.

As we were about to exit Gujarat, hopes of Fafda Jalebi were fading — until we stopped at Asopalav Restaurant. And voilà — Fafda Jalebi was available!
Before ordering the main course, we finally relished the long-awaited Fafda Jalebi. Lunch was excellent (P.S.: Asopalav Special Kathiyawadi Veg is a must-try). Highly recommended if you’re riding from Ahmedabad to Indore.

We entered Indore around 07:00 PM, where our Red Bull (Classic 350) greeted us with a flat tyre. Thankfully, a puncture shop was just 700 meters away, and our destination only 850 meters further. The tube was replaced (thanks to carrying a spare).

Anand Sir @KCNA from Indore also reached the spot and helped manage our stay — truly grateful for that. CM @vinodlikhu arranged the meet-up with Indore Chapter brothers, and the evening turned into another memorable gathering.

Special thanks for the warm hospitality to @KCNA and all Indore brothers.

  • 🛠️ Ghost in the Gas Tank: What E20 Means for Non-Compliant Motorcycles
    IBR_KritikI IBR_Kritik

Brothers and sisters of the road — the fuel pump’s changing, and so is the brew we run our machines on. With E20 being already rolled out, the question is burning hotter than a flaming exhaust pipes:

👉 Will this stuff hurt our old-school, non-compliant bikes?

I’ve dug through research papers, lab studies, and real-world reports to lay down the facts — so we don’t have to rely on hearsay at the tea stalls.

    🔥 Quick Take (TL;DR for wrench-turners)

Modern, fuel-injected machines built for ethanol blends? They’re handling E20 without breaking a sweat.

Older, carburetted, two-stroke, and steel-tank rides? They’re staring down more risk — fuel lines swelling, carbs gumming up, tanks rusting, and mileage dropping.

Riders are already reporting reduced fuel economy and hiccups on classics, even while officials and OEMs insist it’s “all good.”

    🧪 What the Studies Say

Modern Fuelies: Controlled evaluations show E20 keeps performance almost the same as petrol, as long as the bike’s built with ethanol-proof parts.

Small Engines & Oldies: Research flags leaner mixtures, corrosion, and lubrication issues in two-strokes and carb’d bikes. These motors don’t like their cocktail changed.

Material Trouble: Ethanol attracts water, rusts steel, and eats rubber that isn’t ethanol-rated. That means cracked hoses, leaky petcocks, and gummed carbs.

On the Streets: Reports from riders in E20 zones are already showing drop in mileage and old bikes choking after storage. Officials shrug it off — but the workshop bills tell another story.

⚠️ Red Flags for Old Rides

Carburetors corroding, floats sticking, jets clogging.

    Rubber hoses swelling and cracking.

Steel tanks picking up water → rust patches.

    Two-strokes suffering from lubrication shifts.

Mileage drop and weaker pulls on throttle.

🛠️ Garage Wisdom (Keep Your Machine Alive)

Swap old hoses and seals for ethanol-rated replacements.

Keep tanks full or bone-dry if storing — don’t leave half a tank to sweat. Add a stabilizer if parking the bike for months.

Drain carbs if you won’t ride for a while.

Watch for leaks, rough idle, fuel smell — catch issues early.

Get jets cleaned and mixtures checked; lean burn can cook your piston.

For two-strokes: double-check with mechanics before long runs on E20.

    🏍️ Why This Thread Matters

Most lab tests are on shiny new cars, not our battle-scarred Bullets, Yezdis, RD350s, or two-stroke scooters. We’re the test bench now.

Let’s use this thread as a logbook:

    Drop your bike’s make/model/year.

Say if it’s carb or EFI, steel or plastic tank.

Share what you’ve seen with E20 — mileage drops, hose cracks, carb troubles, or no issues at all.

The more we pool, the stronger we ride.

📚 Sources (for the nerds among us)

SAE / systematic evaluation of E20 in modern vehicles.

NREL global review on E20 drivability & compatibility.

Minnesota small engine study — risks for carb’d and 2-strokes.

Materials compatibility research — ethanol vs metals & rubbers.

News on India’s E20 rollout and OEM/rider reactions.

Bottom line: For the old warhorses in our garages, E20 isn’t just another pump number — it’s a ghost in the gas tank. Ride prepared, wrench smart, and let’s see how our machines fight back.

    My observations:

    1. RE Himalayan 411 BS4 FI: cracked fuel pump case which resulted in fuel leakage. And recently I observed chocked fuel cap, Which can also be related with E20 since some fuel is boiled outside from fuel cap lock after full tank (411 owners can relate).

    2. Bajaj Pulsar 180 DTSi 2006 : Issues in cold starts, since it has carburetor thus more prone to E20 witchcraft.
