@TheOne i won't recommend this. Plastic can dissolve in petrol, so not good for long run.

@TheOne bhai I have used it for my last Ladakh ride ( The one amazon link that you have shared ). It is not useful especially when you are doing off roading or bad roads. They started leaking only after 50kms of off-roading. Plastic bags are very dangerous.

I’ve just bought Two, Desert Fox , 6 Litre, Fuel Cell bags for the MA cos my Interceptor (or any of the 650s for that matter :))) is greedy for fuel. They are a bit dear on the pocket but worth the investment if one is a regular traveller. So far they built quality looks very sturdy and as it happens Desert Fox are a big thing in Australia, where long distance biking in the outback is the norm. Will post a review post MA.

So that means you either buy 6ltrs Desert Fox which is around 8.5 or Jerry cans around 2k each.

I think both Jerry Cans or Fuel Bags are fine as long as one can carry them appropriately on the bike. Balanced and tied well to the bikes. Depends on the bike model too. Fuel Bags are handy as they need no special attachments, are light and super easy to carry, have built in straps so sit very well on the tail bag. The Desert Fox ones are ballistic grade and built to last a lifetime. Great reviews from Australia where it originated. Jerry cans are strong too, fuel grade but it mean u will either have to install a Jerry can saddle stay (one sold by Zana etc) which is fine but added costs upto 3k, else u tie them up with bungee cables on the bike. The 5 ltr Jerry cans are small and cute actually. Not as cumbersome as their 20 ltr cousins. I have used Jerry Cans on my Classic 500 via an LC in the past but somehow they didn’t sit well with the design and aesthetics of an Interceptor 650.
Anyway as promised will put a detailed review of the bags once I’m back from the MA. They cos ₹8700 each for a 6 ltr bag from Moto Central. I’ve got two of them, should see me through Ladakh easily. Delivered in 4 days.
