  • Push notification for your browser and app enabled
    SajeeshS Sajeesh

A new feature has been added to the Hub. Now you can receive notifications when a new post or topic is created. This is based on your notification preferrance that you have selected.

Push notification can be enabled by going to your profile and search for "Push Notification".

I have tested on both desktop (by opening Hub on any browser that supports push notification) and the mobile app.

Let me know if you have any questions.

  • How did IBRMC changed ur life?
    SajeeshS Sajeesh

@zahirjaipury - a very appropriate question but both difficult to write and express. What IBR has given to me personally is unfathomable. Whatever I am today, emotionally, social and technically, IBR has a huge impact on all these aspects.

I got a bunch of rascals whom I call brothers from other mothers. They are not my friends, but they brothers are life.

IBR has taught me various traits of managing stuffs. Whether its related to pacifying conflict, following club values, managing events etc. have helped me grow in my professional life as well. I am sure lots of oldies can relate to some of these traits and may have reaped benefits, somewhere or the other.

Lastly, IBR has taught me to become a responsible rider. It has taught me to become a better motorcyclist & patch bearer.

IBR is life and our brothers its lifeline. Cheers!

  • All About - Riding Gears
    SajeeshS Sajeesh

    What I have:
Helmet - LS2 adventure (modular version). Pretty heavy so wont recommend anymore
Riding Jacket - Mototech trailblazer tour. Highly recommended, but on a heavier side which is quite expected from adv series
Riding Pants - Benkia PS305. Got it from Malaysia. Must for Indian men who never got perfect size. Full water repellent, easy to wash. Not the cordura material but decent one.
Gloves - Sspecs touring. Got it from Malaysia. As good as the rynoxs or cramsters
    Boots - Liberty Warrior

    What I wish for
Helmet - A decent carbon fiber one. Do not want any other jazzy stuff which only affects that overall durability. Modular is good but compromizes durability. Next in line AGV, Bell, HJC etc. Lets see what comes next
Riding jacket - Would love to stick to MotoTech. However, will go for any of the Rynox mesh jacket specifically for summers
Riding Pants - Will stick to the current ones. I think it suits my requirements
Gloves - Will stick to current ones. However, for winters, really need to have good windproof, waterproof and winterproof gloves. I think many will be seeking recommendations. I have an old MotoBoy one which I got from China some 15 years back and worked good during MA2024. Yet need a bit better one.
Boots - Satisfied with Liberty as for me sturdiness is preferred over waterproofing (which eventually is a gimmic nowadays). For aesthetic, will go for an alpinestar motorcross boots (I like it somehow).

  • We are back with Hub 2.0
    SajeeshS Sajeesh

Few years back, we decided to close down Hub (discussion forum) and move registrations and discussions to Facebook (majorly thorough FB groups) and other social media platforms. Of late, many of our community members started giving up social media siting various challenges related to fake news, spamming, privacy concerns and what not! Luckily, whatsapp is still going strong as a primary source of communication, but is limited at chapter-level and in a closed circuit.

Last week, I ran a poll internally between planning commission members to check if we should bring back Hub or not. 85% of them said "YES". So here we are!

This is a complete new platform. Unfortunately, the old forum posts & user database are not migrated here, which means you will have to create a new member account by clicking here. Its a fresh start...

Post registration, if you have any concerns, queries or feedback to share, feel free to post it here.

    Cheers!

    Edit:

One of the most asked and used feature is the mobile app and pop-up notification feature.

    On Desktop

If you are using chromium based browsers like Chrome, Brave, MS Edge etc., you can install this forum as a desktop app. On the address bar (where you type website address), look on the right end. You will see a button next to bookmark which will say "Install Hub-IBRMC". This will not only install it as an app but also work for pop-up notification. This way you don't have to open the site each time on browser.
PS: This doesn't work on Firefox

    On Mobile

Again, this works for chromium based browsers. On iOS, it works on Safari as well. Go to the browser settings to find out an option which says either "Install App" or "Add to Home". This will install it as an app on home screen on app drawer. Find it using "Hub - IBRMC". In case you still can't see it, try to download it again. Pop-up notification are currently not working for mobile app.

  • Anyone installed Handlebar Risers on INT650?
    SajeeshS Sajeesh

Though I personally haven't tried it, I know a few folks who got it done without getting the cables changed. Its justa few inches lift and the existing cable length is enough to componsate extra length.

In general, risers do make hell lot of difference as it improves your overall sitting posture a bit upright hence less stress to lower back. Maneuverability also improves.

Go for it and come back with your review for others' benefit.

  • Off-Roading/Dual Purpose Tyres for Interceptor 650
    SajeeshS Sajeesh

While riding RE, I always had the combination of - Ralco at rear and ceat in front. This was after changing through mulitple brands.
Ralco may have a less longitivity and that's obvious with the kind of juice you can get out of it. Softer rubber will stick to the roads much better; thus prone to wear out earlier.

I personally never liked (or had good time) with MRF. Ceat is far better.

From a recommendation standpoint, try Timsum. Off late, may of our members used it and had good reviews. However, it logitivity is even lesser than Ralco.
